Pros

Decent company to work for. Good office at the center of the city. Flexible hours. Free snacks!

Cons

1) Where the entire world is moving towards work from home, Ness has started calling people back to work from office from 1st September. They plan to have full time work from office from October /November. The decision makers are either sitting in US or in India sit in their comfortable cabins and are unaware of ground realities junior employees have to face while commuting to work and otherwise. I have started looking out for another job for my family and my safety. I wonder if any new people are going to join this old mindset company. Bangalore office already has 25-30% attrition (planned and unplanned). I suspect it's bound to go up. In short this is a company run by old Buddhas. 2) Not many new projects in Bangalore. They have already subleased half of their building in Koramangala to some other company. There are rumors that they may shut down the entire center! Though I don't think they might do that as it's a prime place of real estate and will come as very important if and when they sell the company. 3)The VC is planning on selling the company, and that reflects on lack of empathetic behavior overall. The constant for sale attitude limits the investment the company needs. Another challenge with being on the sale market is that, whenever that happens there may be even more layoffs. Though the company has been on sale for many years now and is not even attracting buyers! 4) Salary difference between old and newer employees. The new joiners come in with a much higher salary. Also trend is to hire more people from a particular region. At least some people are able to take care of their own ;-)

Much appreciate your feedback and comments. The decision to resume work from office was taken after careful consideration of the employee’s safety both while they commute and while they are in office. The effort has been led from the forefront by the Center Head and other leaders resuming their work from office per the decision, supporting the effort of our state/central government’s efforts to resume normal life with sufficient care. We encourage positive and constructive feedback which are taken very seriously, however, most of the points that you have raised are rumors. Should there be any concern or clarifications you may have, do suggest you write to Global.NDE-CPO@ness.com.
