Pros

I gained a ton of on the job experience that pushed me into a better job starting at almost double my income at Netmark.com, for this I am providing 2 stars.

Cons

If I had written this review 3 years ago it would be glowing! However, this company took a hard wrong turn several years ago. We used to be a family the management actually cared about us and wanted to further their employees. At some point the greed took over, they cut the heart out of the company in dwindled quickly. I worked for Netmark for over 3 years one of the founding crew you could say, they invested in me, I LOVED MY JOB! towards the end of my employment times were very unstable lies were abundant and the slimy management cared only about your perception of their intentions while bad mouthing and scheming behind your back! I have never felt so betrayed and disposable in my life! They had every excuse in the book to keep your wage low enough you could work full time and still get government assistance, while promising raises and bonuses that they never intended on following through with, dangling the carrot if you will. They would lay off 4-6 employees then promise they had the right crew no more layoffs and a month or so later cut 5-6 more employees, this continued for about 7 months before I was pushed out like garbage. I quickly found a new job, quit and never looked back life is far better without Netmark in it. I would never recommend this company to anyone I love or even slightly liked unless they cut out the greed and got back to the original owners they could bring back the life!

Pros

I enjoy continually learning, and working at Netmark gives me that ability. The world of Digital Marketing is so broad and our clients' needs are so diverse that there is always something new you need to figure out, not to mention that the industry itself is still evolving at a rapid pace so there are always new programs, methods, theories, etc.. It's very fast-paced and you have to "think" hard all the time. I enjoy that. I also appreciate the fact that the owners of the company really care about the clients and delivering excellent results. There are times when someone (even myself) has messed something up or made a mistake of some sort on a client account and the owners go out of their way to make sure the problem is rectified, even in the cases where it requires the company to go into the red.

Cons

High stress. Some clients are very difficult to deal with and have much higher expectations than what they should.

Pros

I worked at Netmark for over 3 years in various administrative roles. While the company isn't perfect, it's doing a good job in a lot of areas. There are many skilled digital marketers working there, and it's a great place for employees to jumpstart their careers. There are some good employment perks that you won't find at most other companies. The vending machines sell food at cost. They have ping pong, pool, air hockey, spikeball, and basketball. The founders are a great pair. They keep each other in check on many different levels. One of the founders is a brilliant data scientist and the other is a creative risk-taker. A lot can be learned from each of them. I believe that as long as they are intimately involved with the details of the company, it will flourish.

Cons

Netmark has had a difficult time hanging on to skilled managers over the last few years. I'm not exactly sure why that is. It may be the lack of a benefits package, but I doubt it. I think it might be the natural growing pains of any company in this position. Many of the people I have spoken with who have left Netmark have said that they have dealt with the same problems they encountered at Netmark in their next positions.
