Pros
You will develop extreme mental resilience. After working here, no workplace will feel toxic enough—because you've already seen the worst. Great case study if you want to research how not to run a company.
Cons
Founders are arrogant, disrespectful, and abusive. One constantly micromanages while the other mocks Indian employees openly, flaunting her NRI superiority complex. Zero empathy: Verbal demeaning is the norm. You’ll be scolded for tasks you were never onboarded for, and then gaslighted for not speaking up earlier. No structured HR support: HR will tell you they could’ve ghosted you but are being kind by at least replying with “cofounders are not responding.” Late salaries, no payslips, no PF. Unless you escalate on public forums like LinkedIn, you won’t be paid. Horrible communication: Emails to payroll or IT go unanswered. The only way to get help is by making noise publicly. Unrealistic expectations: Daily scrum notes, task updates across three platforms, and weekend work dressed up as “optional.” Fake promises during interviews — Goa trips, fun culture, flexibility. The reality? You won’t even know who your teammates are. Atmosphere of constant fear: Daily threats of being fired if you speak up or slow down. Mental health impact: I experienced deep mental stress, lack of motivation, and a complete erosion of self-confidence. Laptop ransom: I made the mistake of returning the laptop before getting my final salary. Don’t repeat that. No project switching: Even if you’re mismatched, they’ll remind you they “pay well” so you don’t get to choose.
