They called a day after submitting the application

Completely saw through smoke and mirrors. I was overqualified for the position, looking to get into the business again. I expressed my qualifications, but the following question was if I’d be able to bring a book of business with me. I said, “no, but my resume speaks for my successes”. This was immediately followed by an exact quote “we’re looking for people ready to be CEOs of their next company.” So they would make you sign a Non-Compete. And then take the book of business you brought with you hoping that it will pay the salary they would give you before they fire you after 6 months for non-growth. This is a scam company. They don’t want you. They want to pay you minimum and take any business you previously developed into their own as a desperation tactic to stay afloat.
