Pros

-Good company incentives like health insurance for specialty medications -Student loan repayment -Remote opportunities -Company match for 401K

Cons

-No movement within the company if you’re in this specific department -“Supervisors” are not very helpful -Will try and get you to work overtime all the time even tho it isn’t even considered overtime bc you are only working 37 hours a week here at this company. —You are expected to do a lot of work with no incentive and no praise, even when you do that work well. -Bonuses are almost non existent. Raises are non existent.

Pros

People are great to work with, super nice and smart. Healthy work-life balance and great salary/benefits.

Cons

New York Life, as a parent company, is highly conservative and operates with significant bureaucratic constraints, which can limit growth and innovation at NYLIM. NYL also avoids taking a stance on key issues that circulate in the news cycle—despite their impact on its business—such as DEI, often positioning itself as a follower among its peers and lacking a clear strategy and forward-looking vision.
