While making calls to generate leads, offices I would call kept complaining that there was so much background noise they couldn't hear a word I was saying. I would get hung up on at least a dozen times a day. I listened to recordings of some of my calls and there was a TON of background noise, simply because the LDRs work in such cramped quarters. It honestly sounded like I was calling from a high school lunch room. To deal with the problem I began working outside in the lobby one day, and that completely fixed the problem. I exceeded quota after only five hours of work. The following day I worked outside most of the day and again exceeded quota....and then got let go the same day!
I had spoken with several LDRs and numerous SDRs and all agreed with me that there was way too much background noise, which is a dead giveaway for a call-center. So there you have it, I found a BETTER way to work and got let go for it.
