Pros

I have been working with Nextorder since a year and more and I am very excited to be a part of its journey as a core member of the team.  I have been with large enterprises and worked with leaders in the past and although this is a smaller team, it has been fun working with the founders and tech team directly. I have seen opportunities cropping up as the company grows which has been reassuring. * Work-life balance has been good. Smart and 100% dedication to work and time away from work based on your needs. * I have gotten the chance to expose myself to business at a very high level - both macros and micro - this is somethingI haven’t had a chance to do at an enterprise.  * I work with a team of leaders who are smart, collaborative and sharp. It has helped me evolve as a person and professional. * A challenging environment where I can challenge my peers and leaders and build on each other’s ideas. * Timely recognition and feedback for work executed well . Also timely direction and meaningful discussions which makes the work exciting on a daily basis. * Clarity and fundamentally strong ethos around what we want to build and staying true to it always as I’ve seen so far.

Cons

No company is perfect. While we grow, there are things that are evolving (updating technology, tools, formalising procedure, salary, equity, etc.) that come along with any growing company. I have seen the team evolve through their journey.

Pros

1. The company was a pretty decent. place to work at. 2. Decent product market fit. 3. Bootstrapped and profitable.

Cons

1. The company has a 4 day work from office policy and a strict nine hour in office policy (you are monitored whether you are at your desk) which I find nonsensical to measure productivity of engineers 2. The company has no trust on its employees in fact post exit of the other founder it's pretty much dictatorial especially with regards to tech the management never consults senior engineers on how systems should be designed. 3. I would suggest if you are a junior to avoid this organization as it will not promote your growth blindly letting coding agents generate code without an afterthought or having a clear cut thought process won't make you a better engineer. 4. If you are someone who wants to build a system while considering all corner cases as well as provisioning for future use cases and scale this is not the place. The philosophy is more along the lines of build code quick through genai if it breaks in prod we'll fix it then. 5. I'm repeating this but the management does not know how to measure productivity of engineers. They really do not know how to talk respectfully and expect folks to remain loyal to the organization. 6. The company genuinely had a better environment but post some changes it does not feel like any decent startup I've worked at infact felt more like a lala org rather than even the average Indian service sector company.
