Pros

The office staff are very helpful and kind. They are also smart. They can handle terrible issues when it comes up. The state licensed inspectors are also incredible. They are so detailed and very nice. They know how to conduct themselves even when situations during inspections go so poorly. Feedback is also very helpful. You do learn a lot from this job. The pay by I left was around $19. I'd say about $17-19 is fair for this more entry level job. $15-16 is fine to start with. The environmental technicians are also super. They are punctual and care about their work regarding radon. The newer manager and owner are swell.

Cons

Not receiving pay during training is a hurdle. The old manager I worked for most of the time was usually fine but some instances still makes me feel annoyed. Receiving calls and some questionable comments or "you're wasting your time" when you write out an entire report is insufferable. I hope everyone there is doing well now but that manager was overbearing, especially during my last day there.

Pros

I don't really know of any

Cons

The entire company is run in a shady manner. Every other inspection company I have spoke to other home inspection companies, and they say only W2 hiring is allowed in the home inspection industry. Additionally, the software they use is outdated and make you pay for it. They try and compete to have the lowest prices which means all of the inspectors there are making less and start everybody at 40% of the inspection fee. If you pay to do the 25 ride along inspections with his inspectors ($1500), every one of them will have something negative to say about the guy running the operation.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We'd like to address a few points for clarity. In the home inspection industry, 1099 employment is a standard that provides inspectors the flexibility to manage their schedules and select assignments that suit their needs. Our compensation model is designed to reward performance, offering the potential for higher earnings compared to a traditional salaried position. Additionally, the software we use is industry-leading, regularly updated, and chosen to support both efficiency and accuracy in the field. We remain committed to transparency, industry best practices, and fostering growth for our team members. Your feedback is important to us, and we encourage you to reach out directly to discuss your concerns further.
