Pros

1) Positive mission about the advancement of women 2) Hard working staff members that care about the mission 3) Remote environment offers flexibility

Cons

CEO has been in role for four years now and is not effective in growing the organization. She doesn't hold her direct reports accountable for their poor people leadership skills. There is not enough staff, unequal pay, unfair practices/favorites and a toxic culture.

First, thank you for your feedback. We’re saddened to hear that you have had a negative experience working with Network of Executive Women. As you note in your review, we are a small but mighty team dedicated to working for our shared mission of Advancing All Women. We can also say with no small amount of pride that we have seen double digit membership and revenue growth in 2021, which is expected to continue in 2022. We are vigilant in assessing our culture on an ongoing basis, and our Culture Transformation Team was created with this goal in mind. If you are still an employee of NEW, please engage with the culture team to air any concerns you have so we can all work together to meet them. In addition, if you have concerns regarding the efficacy of management or our pay practices, we want to hear about them. We strongly encourage you to contact the Culture Transformation Team or Chief of Staff if you would like to discuss this matter further. I sincerely hope we’ll be hearing more from you, so that we can address your concerns directly and make sure NEW is the best place to work it can possibly be.

Pros

- Fully remote work environment - Opportunities to attend national and regional events - Strong, mission-driven organization

Cons

- Excessive virtual meetings that frequently run over time and often end without clear decisions or actionable next steps - Senior Leadership Team (SLT) members holding dual roles or overseeing departments outside their areas of expertise - Largely absent or ineffective IT and HR teams - Lack of updated training and onboarding resources for new hires - Frequent before/after-hours “urgent” communications from CEO, many of which could reasonably wait until regular business hours.
