Pros

Mindless work, so anyone can do it in their sleep.

Cons

First off, when I started we had a wonderful team, however over time it just kept going downhill. If you value your mental health, this is likely not the best place for you. They like to push people to their breaking point so they will quit and not have to fire them. However, they have also fired people right after using their PTO, during holidays, and they do not care. You are there to make them money, and you are expected to always put on a pretty face, no matter the circumstances. The owners of the Overland Park office will fire anyone if it means giving their family or friends a job or if they can outsource the work to someone overseas, because they can pay them $5-7/hr. They are extremely manipulative to convince employees that they have nothing to worry about, to overlook pay discrepancies between men and women, and much more. They have had many situations where their nursing staff does not have all of the necessary credentials. The old guy made several comments about women being overly sensitive, ‘needing more testosterone in the building’, and arguing with family in the middle of the office was a regular occurrence. The ‘field’ employees, those outside of the office are always talked about like they are less than and in very negative ways. Lastly, if you want to grow in your career and advance to higher roles, they will promise you the opportunity but those opportunities do not exist.

Pros

Honestly, not many. Maybe group buying power, but even then, you don’t get to choose the tools—they decide everything.

Cons

You’re Basically a Manager, Not a Business Owner: You do all the work, build the business, but they take a large cut through royalties and fees—often without giving you real control. Very Little Say in Tools or Marketing: You’re forced to use what they choose, even if it's outdated, ineffective, or overpriced. They Profit Regardless of Your Loss: Even if you’re struggling financially, they still collect royalties and marketing fees. Poor Support: Once you’re in, the support is minimal—despite what they promise during the pitch. You’re mostly on your own. Debt Risk is All on You: You take on all the financial risk. In my case, it led to over $170k in debt and eventual bankruptcy—despite being a top performer. They offered more support to an employee they hired then the actual franchisee who paid to be a franchise owner.
