Pros

I have worked at Nice Shoes for over 20 years. I worked in 2 post houses a total of 7 years before hand, so I am not blind to experiences at other facilities. I can tell you that Nice Shoes is an amazing company. Our competitors are major corporations. Nice Shoes is privately owned and does not have the unlimited wallet our competitors depend on. Yet despite that fact, Nice Shoes has always remained at the forefront, laying paths that these giants imitate. The key to Nice Shoes' success is a constant pursuit of what's next. Respect. Given not only to clients but to every single employee. Pride. The artists love what they do and make every effort to deliver top tier work without any errors. Clients often speak of Nice Shoes as a place where they know everything will be done perfectly. Team effort. We are not islands at Nice Shoes, we work together to make our brand stronger every day.

Cons

It takes effort and dedication in this business to make it to the top. Not everyone will make it, and I understand how that can be frustrating.

Pros

A super warm and collaborative environment where creativity and talent is cultivated. Coworkers genuinely care for each other and lift each other up instead of trying to tear each other down. Management / Owner makes an effort to hear and listen to the needs of their employees and genuinely cares for each employee's well being. You are encouraged to partake in industry events and to share ideas on how to engage Nice Shoes within the industry I have worked at other post houses in NYC and the above was not always the case. The grass is definitely greener on the Nice Shoes side of the fence!

Cons

There can be long hours but that is on par with all post houses I have worked in and is part of the industry. If you don't like engaging with other people in the industry, this might not be the place for you. There is an expectation that all employees in all departments are out and about at industry events meeting with other industry thought leaders. Depending on the position, a good amount of travel could be required as we have a multitude of locations outside of NYC. This could also be looked at as a pro depending on your desire to travel and it also depends on the position. Many positions require no travel.
