Pros

While on the surface, it would be exciting to work on fully featured All-Flash array -- it wasn't (see below).

Cons

1. There were large gaps between what was advertised on the data sheet and what was in the product 2. Management promised many things it could not deliver and then fired people for not performing 3. Many of the customers on the reference list were listed because the got a free iSCSI SW driver many years ago from Nimbus. Very misleading! FWIW, take a look on LinkedIn. The number of former employees far outweigh the number of current ones. Most have a tenure of less than a year. What does that tell you?

Pros

I was brought on to do performance testing as a contractor for an upcoming all flash storage array from Nimbus Data. The technology is incredibly high performance - the fastest storage array I have seen in my 20+ years in IT. The test lab is modern - 200G Ethernet, 64G Fibre Channel, load generators, etc - and very meticulous. While my role was just a 6 week consulting engagement on performance testing, I left extremely impressed with the company's potential.

Cons

Some long hours to meet deadlines, but nothing out of the ordinary. The hours are little later than usual due to having to sync with the offshore teams (India, Taiwan).

Pros

Quiet office Junk food kitchen galore! Great for people that like to work alone

Cons

I honestly don't even know where to begin. Top management is such a total mess. They are the most greedy people I have ever encountered. I have a hard time writing bad reviews because I always like to see the best in people, but I have never been treated so poorly. I was a part of the 2nd attempt at an inside sales team (the first team got fired) There were 4 of us on the team. CEO has to have total control over all aspects of the sale to the point that clients were lost. When we finally were able to gain potential clients, the CEO took the sales away and decided to "take on the sale because it was too large for us to handle." (when in fact it was not, due to the guidelines given at hire and the deal sizes we were able to manage). Needless to say the sales team was extremely discouraged. The CEO decided that the sales team was not doing well enough so he fired everyone, once again. You would think he would start to see a pattern. It's sad really. Too many incredibly talented people lost. I now have a new, normal job where I am appreciated and given a little room to run with my ideas and actually do well for myself and the company. Please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Or if you decide to go ahead with a job at Nimbus DO NOT believe the hype. Do your research and listen to the red flags when they pop up.
