Pros

Cool industry in a great location (mammoth); a decent opportunity if you want to live in a ski town for a season (good luck getting time off though)

Cons

Rude managers, lack of structure, micromanagement (they track you on your company phone), decent pay but they don’t let you take any time off during ski season at all. A lot of unhappy customers which makes customer engagement awkward (I’ve been yelled at). Lots of property turnover

Pros

You'e offered a 30 minute lunch break.

Cons

In addition to its oppressive surveillance and stingy compensation practices, this workplace is plagued by favoritism, scarce opportunities for advancement, and a pervasive culture of mismanagement. Promotions and raises are rare occurrences, with a hierarchical structure that places only two main managers at the top, leaving everyone else beneath them and subject to poor treatment. Employees are made to feel disposable, as if they owe the company for the privilege of employment, rather than being appreciated for their hard work. Moreover, the company's disdain for overtime extends to outright refusal to pay for extra hours worked, often resorting to threats of write ups and terminations to discourage employees from exceeding their allotted time. This coercive tactic further exacerbates the sense of fear and exploitation among workers. The challenges extend to securing time off, as the benefits package is notably subpar. The insurance coverage is minimal, requiring employees to pay substantial out-of-pocket expenses, as the company covers only a small portion of the costs. Additionally, the amount of time off granted is extremely limited, with very few paid holidays. This lack of adequate time off contributes to an unhealthy work-life balance, causing further dissatisfaction among employees. Furthermore, the company's culture is far from a team-oriented environment. The power trip from management and the toxic culture they cultivate flow down into all departments, fostering an atmosphere of distrust and passive-aggressive behavior among the majority of employees. This lack of unity and cooperation undermines morale and makes collaboration difficult, further diminishing the overall work experience. The company's unethical practices extend beyond its treatment of employees to its treatment of customers, demonstrating a blatant disregard for integrity and trustworthiness.
