Pros

Many strong individuals, good middle-management, if you're lucky some salaries are high (others are not). Good development opportunities. Because of the issues below, I find it challenging to recommend Nordcloud as a workplace. However, if you are resilient and can find solace in a good middle management team, it may be possible to navigate through the organizational challenges and find satisfaction in your role.

Cons

It is with great disappointment that I write this review. While the company boasts some impressive projects and dedicated middle management and fantastic employees across many areas, the lack of effective leadership, an absent CEO, dishonest communication, and an alarming number of senior individuals burying their heads in the sand have created a toxic work environment. Leadership: The leadership is, unfortunately, poor. The absence of a visible and engaged CEO leaves a significant void in terms of any sort of culture or human leadership. It means that, despite many of us having faith in their business acumen, decisions are made and communicated poorly, left with middle management to deliver ‘bad news’, whilst leadership portray positive messages on company calls (where hard questions are often filtered and not answered). It leaves many employees feeling that the leadership team seems disconnected and disinterested in the well-being and development of their employees. Communication: Honest and open communication is crucial for a healthy work environment, yet it is sorely lacking. The leadership team consistently fails to provide honest information, often resorting to dishonest tactics or outright silence. This lack of transparency creates confusion and frustration among employees, making it difficult to trust the company's direction or intentions. Despite this, many managers are willing to help with the trickle-down of information. But this often feels like it has to be done in the absence of leadership, not in support of it. Middle management: One redeeming aspect is the middle management across the organization. Many of them genuinely care about their teams and strive to improve the situation. The leadership team are lucky to have them. They work tirelessly to bridge the gap left by the absent leadership and offer support to their subordinates. Unfortunately, their efforts are often hindered by the overall lack of direction and ineffective communication from higher-ups, and are often caught in the cross-fire of these decisions. Culture: The culture is one of complacency and avoidance. Many employees bury their heads in the sand, unwilling or unable to address the systemic issues within the company. This perpetuates a sense of stagnation and frustration among the many who genuinely want to see positive change. The lack of accountability and a proactive approach to problem-solving contribute to a toxic work culture.

The good things about Nordcloud are that we are international, skilled colleagues, good market position

The start-up has been harder than I had expected, due to cleaning up in Salesforce, many customer cases that have to be handled and started again.
