Pros

Lots of locations, in house training, fireworks at company party, in house IT. Amazing team members.

Cons

Personal Lines Dept short staffed for over 2 years, workload Too large for # team members, customer call center approach, no agents to provide consulting, coverage comparison or education. Micro-managed daily, each team member given 4 hours a week to work their own email and tasks. Daily schedule 4 hours on phone then 4 hours in pool email. Team leads and Supervisors only 3-5 years in industry. Boys club for those from original Appollo division. Buys up smaller agencies with sales pitch “we have a small town atmosphere, with big support systems” Then those agencies customers no longer have team members to work with get the run around, or are weeded out as they are not big enough accounts! If you care about the work you do and want to make a difference to those trusting you, don’t work here. High turn over, offers work from home yet only to a select few even though they offer as part of interview process. Unrealistic time frames, worked passed around confusing customers. Team of 30 for the whole state of MN over 30,000 customers. Sales team sell and drop to account managers, building trust is no longer important. The cons could go on. Things change so often you can’t keep up.

Pros

The people on the teams can be great and peers are supportive when they can be. Sometimes there are happy hours.

Cons

Management is unorganized and has no clear expectations for their team. You can't meet or exceed any expectations because they have no idea what they are. They aren't able to face anything headon, pun intended, they just talk around it, or backpedal, or avoid getting to the root of problems. You won't even get a cost of living increase in your pay. Their raises are a slap in the face. Everyone is overworked and underpaid. Most of the calls we get are just people yelling, and then going about our day, while they take away working from home, don't pay us well, and contantly get judged by people who don't have a clue how to do our daytoday work. No one is able to keep up with their workload, and now everyone is leaving which is making that so much worse. They are burning us out so they can hire people at a lower pay.
