Pros
The editorial department is awesome. I come into work every day not even stressed about it because my coworkers are fun to work with and the job starts when I clock in and ends when I clock out. This makes work life balance incredible because I never stress about work once I'm out and there's never expectations to work overtime. Editorial management is understanding, flexible with last minute scheduling changes (i.e. appointments, illness etc.) and receptive to feedback. There's a robust training program and everyone helps each other so you're never left to or expected to just figure things out on your own. There are regular 1:1s and skip levels and expectations are clearly laid out so there are never any surprises. This might seem like micro managing to some but I really like that I know exactly what I'm supposed to be doing in order to be successful, and that there's no surprises come review time.
Cons
Pay is entry level regardless of experience and there are minimal opportunities for big raises or promotions.
