Pros

+ Small company, management is just a room away from you. + Great benefit, their benefit package is the best for entry level jobs. + No micro management, as long you bring results, they don't care how you do it. + Respectful, no matter what you position is you get respected. + Tuition reimbursement, makes a huge different for a student in school. + Unlimited snacks, since you would be spending majority of your day here, you can get snack during the day (free) so you won't feel tired. + Friday lunch, Friday lunch is the best benefit you get with this work. Before covid-19 employee's used to eat together and had some time for networking. + You can learn a lot from Scott, Dave and Steven. Learn as much as you can while you are there.

Cons

- PTO system changed to occurring over time. I like the upfront PTO per year. ( Some employee's misused the system so understandable) - Remote work is not an option. Even though you can do the job from home easily (again, during covid some employee's were even on the computer to do the work, so they went against it)

Pros

Family owned business, you work directly with the owners. They will go above and beyond to make sure there is a comfortable work environment and everyone is accommodated and able to do their best. Owners and management will do what it takes to ensure employees have the tools to succeed. Industry is government financial reporting compliance software, which is very stable and unlikely to see major downturns in response to current events. Lots of opportunity to develop new skills.

Cons

Very technical niche industry, requires a lot of training and specialized knowledge to become proficient at the job. Due to the small company size, employees are expected to perform multiple roles. A technical support rep, for example, would be expected to do support, do software testing, maybe some documentation work, possibly some light scripting if they have aptitude and interest in it.

Pros

Small with the feeling of not being a "number" due to corporate status. Plenty of opportunity to learn new skills while wearing many "hats" job wise. A good entry level inside sales position for someone technologically savvy with little or no experience in sales.

Cons

It is run by a family who makes all final decisions and might be too small of a company. Due to being extremely small, the company is not known in the financial software industry which makes it hard to establish solid relationships with executives at public companies throughout the country. There is very little effective marketing which does not help generate many warm leads for sales individuals to move a sales cycle forward. Development of software is more of a concern than the development of business and developers take too much time on features or things in software that corporate clients do not need or want. With the company being so small, a person does not have one job responsibility. People working there tend to have several job responsibilities. The salary and pay is well below the average person's experience and knowledge.
