Pros
Novogene Europe is growing rapidly. This is due not only to the quality of the product but the commitment and passion of the team. With rapid growth comes the opportunity for personal growth and career development. I can only talk for the side of the business I work for but I have seen colleagues promoted on merit and mature into new roles. The opportunity is there. For me it's the team that really make the job. From approachable senior management who listen and act on ideas and suggestions to a diverse and friendly team across the company. The level of knowledge and expertise is profound, and yet I can't think of a job I've had where colleagues have been so down-to-earth. It's genuinely refreshing and a pleasure to work with everyone. It's a really exciting time to work in NGS and Novogene is at the forefront of the industry. If you're prepared for a challenging but very rewarding role Novogene might be for you.
Cons
The rapid growth I mentioned above has a downside. There has been a lot of change which I appreciate can be uncomfortable for some people. As a high-growth company things don't always go right - processes and policies need updating and sometimes things get missed. Working for what is a relatively recent division of a global company can at times be challenging: navigating cultural differences, customs, languages and time zones. Personally I love the diversity - it's what makes Novogene such a fun place to work. However, I appreciate it's not for everyone. In truth these are the challenges all high-growth multi-national company's face. In my experience these challenges are acknowledged and where possible addressed.
