Pros
Interesting work and complex issues to resolve. Small startup means there’s opportunities to contribute. Technology is great and makes an important impact on the health care industry. Co-workers were great (not including management).
Cons
Poor middle management. The department leads struggle to provide a cohesive vision to their employees. Sometimes it seems like they are always on the same page. Some managers don’t demonstrate the respect and trust in their subordinates that they should. High turnover and that may be related to limited growth opportunities. I can’t say enough how many times someone in a higher position left the company and was replaced by an external higher. Seldom do entry level employees grow into expansive roles. Below market pay.
