Cons
- The work environment can be quite toxic in some areas, particularly among senior professionals (ICs and managers) and in larger business units. Teams like Data (AEs, MLE, DS) and BAs are especially affected, while Engineering is the only team with consistent C-level support. - The absence of clear structure and effective leadership often leads to internal competition and subtle efforts to overshadow others at senior levels. - Leadership frequently avoids accountability, takes credit for results, and protects itself, while those actually solving problems may face instability (potential targets for layoffs). - Career growth tends to favor predominantly white, male, privileged profiles, often early hires (most tenured ones), sometimes with limited diversity beyond occasional LGBTQ+ representation. - Company values are more genuinely embraced by newer employees, while long-tenured staff often fall short of upholding them. - Layoffs are not communicated transparently (internally or externally). Joining the company means accepting a level of uncertainty, especially during business unit changes, which are frequent, particularly in larger teams.
