Pros

Some telecommuting allowed depending on job title after 6 months. Benefits kick in from 1st day on the job.

Cons

Stripped away paid breaks and increased the work day by half an hour to accommodate either two 15 minute unpaid breaks or one 30 minute unpaid lunch. Previously had both paid breaks and a 30 minute paid lunch. Also cancelled one of the life insurances policies previously provided. No dental or eye insurance. Dental can get limited reimbursement with a relatively low yearly max. Health insurance is 3000 deductible/individual. OSCPA donates slightly over 2000 into an HSA to co-fund deductible. Raises are infrequent. Bonuses occasional. In the past few years terminations have been frequent as OSCPA constantly "re-aligns" their workforce. Recently changed Employee manual to take advantage of case law that allows employers to avoid paying unused PTO when an employee leaves or is terminated. 2017 Best Places to Work survey disclosed deep employee dissatisfaction and unrest.
