Pros

Strong brand, remote work, strong training in the most advanced aspects of cyber. Hard to offer more positives when I'm about to leave the company.

Cons

The CEO has been a debacle for the company and brand. Ning Wang has lost the respect and confidence of the majority of the employees, and most of the executive team departed the company in the last year. Where is the inspiration? Where is the vision? Where are the basic leadership skills? It is almost tragic to watch the unraveling of OffSec over the past few months with department after department dismantled and its employees terminated. Compensation is below industry averages. Lower than expected enterprise traction due to - shocker - lack of recurring value. This can be directly traced to the lack of product expertise and a failure by the CEO to prioritize properly. Low retention rates are the death of a subscription business.

Pros

You get a paycheck and get to work on a macbook

Cons

The CEO has turned what was once a great company into a chaotic, toxic environment. She micromanages nearly everything except Engineering—the one area that desperately needs oversight—and shows favoritism toward a select few she trusts or can manipulate. Decisions are made impulsively, with no data or strategy, creating constant instability. Cost-cutting has become an obsession: hiring cheap labor, refusing to invest in necessary tools, and expecting employees to do more with less. Technical debt is ignored and continues to accumulate, long-term planning is nonexistent, and morale has plummeted. Teams are overworked, under-supported, and some are simply disengaged. The culture that once made this company a strong, collaborative place has been replaced by fear, frustration, and unpredictability.
