Pros

Great people and great culture. I truly enjoy working at Ohio Mutual and I have great co-workers. I've had many growth opportunities, and I feel strongly supported by my supervisor and the leadership team overall. The company has really shifted its mindset in recent years to place an intentional focus on customer experience, continuous improvement, and loyalty. The organization values collaboration, listens to its associates and customers, and is very community-oriented. Ohio Mutual has a small town feel, but easily competes with employers in Columbus and larger job markets from a compensation and opportunity perspective.

Cons

No company is perfect, but I believe Ohio Mutual leaders are receptive to constructive feedback. Prior to COVID-19, there was some inconsistency with work from home flexibility. I think that's vastly improved over the past year, and it is now much more openly supported for most roles. Many people work at Ohio Mutual for a very long time, so change can be challenging at times. Since it is located in a small rural community, there is a lack of diversity in the current workforce. I know the leadership is actively working on this, but I look forward to increased diversity and inclusion efforts.

Pros

- Kind people - Empathetic leadership - Strong learning culture

Cons

Lots of pizza, haha! Not that this is really a con, just a joke. They provide us with free food every Wednesday from local small businesses.

Pros

The company culture is very positive.

Cons

Since this is a small company there aren't as many opportunities for advancement that are available in larger companies. However, there are more opportunities to get involved in special projects compared to larger companies.
