Pros
I worked in IT. It was a laid back environment, most of the time, maybe depending on your supervisor. They give you lots of opportunities to learn, both on the job and via classes, etc. Lots of holidays and time off. You can get approval to telework occasionally after you've been there a year. Pretty much everyone is very nice. Also, it's a college campus, so you have lots of easy access to places to get food/coffee, there's a fitness center, etc.
Cons
You have to take a lunch break, which I wasn't used to b/c I liked to work through lunch to leave early. But, that's really not a big con, is it. The salaries aren't great and you essentially don't get raises. But, there are many perks to outweigh that. One thing that really did bother me was paying for a parking pass, and then having to walk 10 minutes to get to my office, even after paying for a spot to park. Plus, the traffic on Hampton can be rough at times.
