Pros

Working at On The Stage has been an incredible experience. The collaborative team and innovative environment constantly inspire me to grow and think creatively. I’ve had so many opportunities to learn and expand my skills, all while working alongside amazing people who genuinely care about the supporting the arts. The positive culture and flexibility have made it easy to stay motivated, making this a truly rewarding place to be.

Cons

While working at On The Stage has been incredibly rewarding, there are some challenges that come with the territory. The niche and competitive industry means you’re always pushing to stay ahead, which can be exciting but also demanding. Resource constraints and the need to wear many hats often require juggling priorities and stepping outside your comfort zone. At times, it feels like you’re operating at max capacity, which can be a lot.

Pros

OTS has such a positive working environment. Managers are trained in compassionate candor and give you feedback with kindness. The team is fun and supportive. You get to work at your own pace and from home. You get to help theatres and schools improve their programs for free. There is room for promotion.

Cons

Like all sales jobs, the base salary could be better.

Pros

The ability to work from anywhere and enjoy flexibility is certainly a plus. However, the compensation leaves much to be desired.

Cons

The compensation is disappointingly low, and the training period is shockingly brief. The current trainer, unfortunately, fosters a toxic atmosphere and is prone to gaslighting. They are vague about the actual job responsibilities, preferring a teaching style that relies on learning through mistakes. This creates an unhealthy work environment, compounded by the lack of effective leadership. The leads are outsourced from a company in India, adding to the confusion. Navigating this role feels like an endless scavenger hunt, with success being a matter of sheer luck due to the inadequate resources provided. It's no wonder employees hesitate to voice their concerns, fearing potential repercussions that could threaten their job security.
