Pros
You might gain some short-term experience or learn a few tough lessons, but that’s about it. There are also a few people that work there at lower levels that they are lucky to have.
Cons
This company is one of the worst examples of toxic management I’ve experienced. Leadership operates with a “you’re replaceable” mindset. You’re treated like a number, not a person. No matter how well you perform, expect to be let go — especially around the one-year mark. It’s not about results or loyalty; it’s about cost-cutting and control. Less than 10% of employees make it to a full year — the turnover is that bad. People are randomly fired with little to no explanation. It’s a culture of fear and instability, not growth or development. The CEO and owner do not care about employees. Their only concern is squeezing costs and finding someone to do your bosses job for half the price. The team has shrunk from 60 to around 30 in a year, and it feels like a sinking ship. There is no investment in people, no career path, and no long-term future here. Owners have big ideas and whims and they will easily replace people with ai, reorg the company and lay people off, or just fail and restart another company under another name and tax id number in another state if they think it will benefit their wallets. They were also under a DOI fraud investigation for a year — and while it may have concluded, it’s another red flag. Where there’s smoke, there’s fire. This place is shifty and just not professional. If you have a professional insurance background I would also caution this place has such a negative reputation in the insurance industry that might actually harm your chances of being hired back into the industry.
