      Pros

      Lots of great connections and building on soft people skills. Lots of potential tutoring clients if you are aggressive.

      Cons

      It is a tutoring position. Salary/pay is not that great and no performance bonus. No benefits. No reimbursement for travel.

      Pros

      Contacted me regularly with several at-home tutoring opportunities (meaning driving to people's homes).

      Cons

      30-ish owner made enough from online tutoring business and underpaying tutors to buy fancy house in Danville, a high-priced suburb. Also, set me up with a so-called tutoring opportunity for a group of at risk kids that was actually teaching (requiring unpaid prep), and didn't do his homework about the group, which included everything from kids with intellectual disabilities to those who were college material. I had only an hour a week and no help. He set me and kids up for failure. Only paid me $25/hr with nothing for prep.
