Pros

Kind team mostly Remote (or was)

Cons

Long meetings cramped with excessive info on systems developers have no experience with. Extremely convoluted conglomeration of software, including the backend which is compressed on three products. Managers with no confidence don't help or give any useful advice and have no understanding nor empathy on entry level devs, and does not listen to suggestions. Users stories ridiculously full of long paragraphs that does not need to be in the user story. I.e. request data table in the RESPONSE user story led to confusion by other more experienced developers. Indigestible sentences making it a chore to even read the user stories. Clearly reliant on copy and pasting text rather than clean readable sentence structure.

Pros

Some very knowledgeable, friendly folk.

Cons

A haphazard organisation that couldn't even pay their contractors on time. Initial expectation was that I would work from home, whilst attending the office a day a week for the first couple of weeks. However, it ultimately transpired that there was a clear expectation to attend every week. This company doesn't trust its' employees and uses tracking software to 'manage' their workforce.
