Pros

I love the idea that OM is open 24/7, and I can work according to my schedule. Of course, I have to be on during business hours, but I don't have to miss important family events or any of life's demands. This kind of lifestyle reduces stress and breaks down the artificial boundaries between work and home. I also like the idea that I can work with co-workers across the country and the globe. OM has a great team of experienced, mature, and independent-minded employees that know the ins and outs of working virtually. OM also has a knack for hiring the right people that fit the virtual culture and the best in the field.

Cons

Since work is always just a keystroke away, the challenge is knowing when and how to shut it off! This is not the kind of job where you lock it down at 5 PM.

Pros

OpenMoves is a remote team of marketing veterans. They've been working remotely way before it was in fashion and have created a great work environment. The team is extremely collaborative and they nurture individualism and entrepreneurship. Everyone is very passionate about delivering results to clients which is very motivating.

Cons

I have not experienced any at this time. It's a great place to work!

Pros

Everyone is really good at doing their part to get jobs and projects done, and upper management recognizes hard work and often gives credit where credit is due. Annual performance reviews help improve both employees and upper management and show what they need to work on to reach their goals. Management is also very open and welcome feedback and opinions. Excellent work-life balance. Hours are pretty flexible as long as your part is done and projects are completed in a timely manner. Management definitely cares and understands that we all have our personal life to take care of and is very flexible. Working remotely definitely has lots of benefits and has become a big part of my life. I love the summer bbqs and holiday parties where we all get together and meet the new employees and catch up with coworkers we haven't seen in months.

Cons

Every company has it's cons... sometimes an overload in work, or not looping in key people who provide valuable insight on situations, or not having a dedicated sales person to manage leads, or some inevitable cons like problems resolving issues due to having to work with third party vendors or clients who are hard to handle. Being a smaller company, there is no definite process to do certain things which sometimes can be good or bad depending on the situation. However, most issues usually get resolved quickly with weekly and monthly meetings and everyone doing their part as best they can.
