Pros
Good way to gain entry into the world of Healthcare IT, and depending on the client, a good way to get your foot in the door with a high quality organization where you may otherwise not have had the opportunity.
Cons
You are nothing more than the product optimum is delivering to the client. They try and make you believe they are on your side in regards certain disparities that may take place while doing your job, but all that matters at the end of the day is if they are meeting the clients needs. So just keep that in mind.
The contract you commit to is ridiculous. My contract was only 1 year but most are 2 years. If you quit or get terminated prior to that contract ending, you must pay back $10,000 to optimum to cover the cost of training. It's probably the craziest contract I've ever seen for employment, so just be aware of that before signing.
