Pros

- Competitive product for its space - Great people (for the most part) - Unique opportunity if you're willing to hustle - Due to its size, opportunity to have more of an impact than at a large company

Cons

I see a lot of fake reviews (mostly positive reviews) and a lot of bitter reviews (overly negative) so will attempt to be as objective as possible here.... - This place will NEVER be the next Google/Facebook/etc. and that’s not their goal - so temper your expectations accordingly. In fact, this place has more of a corporate vibe than a tech start up vibe. - I'd honesty say it's not the greatest place but you could have it worse. If you put AuditBoard with 9 other similar companies, I would say most of the time it would rank #4 of 10 (hence the 2 star review) - All companies exaggerate the positives of the job and role during the interview process but I would say AuditBoard is far more egregious than most so take everything they say with a HUGE grain of salt. - The benefits are honestly as bad as the other reviews state. Would avoid this place if that’s something that is very important to you - By the way the company is run, they are trying to run a very lean operation. The benefits are trash, the office is drab… and who puts a startup in Cerritos of all places? If you want a workplace that you want to brag about, this isn't the place... - Every department has its own quirks/positives/negatives like any other company. Some more than others and you can probably figure out which ones they are by reading the negative reviews. - honestly don’t think any of the positive reviews are real / unbiased. We’ve been “encouraged” to post positive reviews so that should tell you something. Interpret this as you will. - There has been some churn in the past couple of months so something to keep in mind

Pros

Remote Work (I honestly couldn't imagine working so closely in an office with some of these people)

Cons

I joined Optro expecting a collaborative, team-oriented support environment, but the reality was deeply disappointing. From the moment I started, the red flags were apparent. The culture lacks accountability at nearly every level. Rather than operating as a cohesive support team, the environment feels heavily driven by politics, favoritism, and performative loyalty instead of professionalism and partnership. Collaboration is minimal, and there is very little ownership when problems arise. One of the biggest operational challenges is how outdated many of the business tools and processes are. Instead of modernizing workflows or empowering employees to improve systems, the organization seems stuck operating under habits and structures established during prior leadership. Unfortunately, there appears to be little willingness from leadership or teams to challenge inefficient ways of working or evolve the culture. The micromanagement is also extreme. Employees are not trusted to do the jobs they were hired to do, which creates an environment of constant oversight rather than empowerment. In healthy organizations, leaders hire capable professionals and allow them to execute. Here, the lack of trust is felt daily and impacts morale significantly. What was most disappointing is that none of this was transparent during the interview process. The gap between what was presented and the actual working environment was substantial. If you thrive in environments built on autonomy, collaboration, accountability, innovation, and mutual respect, this may not be the right fit.
