Pros

- Lots of effort put towards employee culture and making the workplace a pleasant environment - Lots of employee perks & benefits (RRSP contributions, paid team vacation, monthly paid lunches, and more) - Continuous learning encouraged through lunch & learns, developer training plans, hack days, learning budget - Open minded to new ideas and solutions - CEO truly cares about it's employees have having the best work environment possible - Open to hiring new junior developers and mentoring them to reach a good level of proficiency

Cons

- Lack of structure on projects leads to confusion and frustration - Lack of senior developers puts a lot of burden on the current senior developers to do their work as well as provide support to those more junior - There are many people that over commit on a bunch of initiatives and that often leads to disappointment to those that were relying on those commitments

Pros

- It's hard not to get along with the people at Osedea. Everyone there is friendly and welcoming. - Opportunity to work in domains you might not otherwise have touched - Nice office (though most days not many people are there) - Fun team activities - Decent benefits

Cons

- Pay is not competitive - Agency work often means delivering mediocre quality quickly because clients want to minimize costs - Not much opportunity to "do things right" (see previous point)

Pros

- Amazing culture. Very inclusive, and they genuinely try to keep improving. - They really care about their team. - The founder is still very hands-on and actively involved, so you actually see him on the front line. He leads by example, which is rare in this space. - Cool projects, and the option to move around within the company if you ever want a change or feel ready for something new.

Cons

- It’s an agency, so it’s not for everyone. You usually don’t stay on the same project for long, and the pace is fast. - Some projects are really interesting, others less so.
