Pros

The product is interesting. The pay is decent. The benefits are not good.

Cons

-Unreliable Leadership and Broken Promises: When I first joined the company I was given a career progression path along with a rough timeline. Whenever I would ask about the timeline I would be reassured that the org is growing as expected and confirmed. Promised career progression paths were not honored, leading to stunted career growth. Management reneged on initial promises and pressured employees to remain in their current roles. -Encouraged by leadership practices, there is a lack of communication between teams, leaving employees uninformed about the broader state of the product. -Inconsistent and Gaslighting Management: Managers provided unclear and often contradictory instructions, leading to confusion and a lack of accountability. Expectations were frequently changed without notice, creating an unstable work environment. This was a common occurrence throughout the org. -Subjective Employee Evaluations: Performance reviews are based on vague criteria instead of actual contributions to the product. When projects don't go a as planned, ICs will be thrown under the bus. -Shift to Offshore Contracting: During my time with the org, a significant number of FTE were replaced with offshore contractors. It's pretty obvious that management sees US based employees as high-cost liabilities.

Pros

An Inspiring and Motivating Place to Grow Working here has been an incredibly fulfilling experience. The culture is both motivating and inspiring, fostering an environment where everyone is encouraged to bring their best selves to work. Leadership sets a clear vision, and the team embodies values of collaboration, respect, and continuous improvement. One of the standout aspects is the positive workplace culture — people genuinely support one another, celebrate wins together, and approach challenges as opportunities to learn and grow. There’s a strong emphasis on personal and professional development, with constant encouragement to push yourself, take initiative, and improve every day. This is the kind of workplace that doesn’t just expect great work — it inspires it. If you’re looking for a place that challenges you, uplifts you, and helps you become a better version of yourself, this is the place to be.

Cons

Scattered Software Systems: One challenge is that multiple software programs are used across different parts of the workflow. This can make it difficult to maintain a standardized process, sometimes leading to extra steps, delays, or confusion when switching between tools. A more integrated system would help streamline operations and improve overall efficiency. Frequent Rejection on the Phones: The role involves a lot of outreach, and getting rejected is a regular part of the job. It can be tough at times, but success comes from having grit, resilience, and the ability to bounce back quickly. For the right person, this challenge builds mental toughness and sharpens communication skills.

Pros

- great pay and benefits - looks great on the resume - most coworkers are great, incredibly smart and helpful - plenty of interesting technical problems to be solved

Cons

- seconding everything said so far about the CEO and Sr. leadership. Decisions are made hastily without proper review, without consulting the affected parties, and this has constant negative ripple effects. It seems as though no one can tell her no or no one wants to, regardless senior leadership is a revolving door on every team, this company has by far the most turnover of any I’ve worked at at the leadership level - the product team is headed by an ego maniac who speaks over everyone else in meetings and is just generally rude and unpleasant to work with. He also refuses to take valid criticism which has led to many botched product launches. Somehow he still has a job - they are hiring almost entirely offshore to cut costs. Hard not to think that sooner or later stateside employees will be cut loose for cheaper labor - the work environment overall is just stressful, leaders are always in a panic and putting constant pressure downwards, almost no one seems happy and everyone is constantly stressed - constant changing of internal systems used for no apparent reason, which has led to many processes being overly complicated, broken, or just plain worse than they were before. Change for the sake of change
