Cons

Pirch is the worst managed company due to the mismanagement of company funds and senior leadership. During my employment Pirch started off unable to pay their vendors and customers paid for product and they had to wait for delivery because the customer funds were used to pay for company expenses. Employees were unable to travel because the corporate credit card was declined due to non payment. The hiring process is the worst case of nepotism. They posted a job requiring a college degree and they hired someone without degree and no experience because they were friends with someone on the leadership team. The leadership team made promises to the entire company on new software, new processes, and financial stability and not one statement became true. Pirch opened a brand new showroom in Austin, TX in May 2017 and ceased operation 5 months later which resulted in the termination of all employees.

PIRCH Response

When our leadership team started less than a year ago, there were a lot of inherited problems including vendor holds and lack of control on expenses. The current leadership team worked diligently to reduce our operating expenses and successfully get the vendor holds released. We’ve hired over 100 people in the last year and some of the top talent has been employee referrals throughout the company (all levels and locations). We’ve had to make some tough decisions on our strategy and closing Austin was just as frustrating to us as everyone else, but we are taking a very thoughtful approach and continue to stay focused on creating a profitable PIRCH. We appreciate your service and time with PIRCH.
