Pros

There is underground parking so you car doesn't get too hot. I cannot write 20 positive words about this company. It is impossible.

Cons

Everything they tell you is untrue. There are no benefits. There is no gym membership. If you have a position where you are supposed to receive commission, they will make it out that asking to be paid that commission is unreasonable and that you are being overly entitled for even asking them to follow through with their agreements. There is constant gossiping behind every employees back- horrible, cruel, judgmental, and even confidential things will be said to other employees. Public ridiculing and humiliating employees is common daily practice. They are elusive in regard to their credentials (there are no credentials anywhere in the office). Upper management says judgemental and cruel things about clients, prospects, and leads. You will be told not to speak to anyone else in the building. Your every move will be watched, critiqued, and then you will be chastised. There is no training. You will see many people hired and then fired. Most people only last 3 months. Other employees who have worked there longer than that have questionable relationships beyond a typical work relationships with upper management. My advice is that if you're offered a position here, run away.

Thank you for your review. From your comments, we can conclude that you are one of our former sales staff at the company and we genuinely thank you for your service. While we work hard to make the business environment perfect for every employee, you must also understand that no workplace in the world is perfect, as some will be very happy with it, and others, such as yourself, will be unhappy with our or your decision to terminate employment. We sympathize with you being distraught by your dismissal, as evident by your very harsh and undue comments; however, you must keep in mind that such excessive embellishments are counter-productive. To some people, we understand that termination by an employer could be a very detrimental rejection experience. We are very sorry that you chose to unnecessarily lash out at our company and its people instead of looking at the termination as a learning experience to choose the right employment for you and improve your work habits. Keep in mind, as a company, we crave good employees, and it never serves our interest to dismiss anyone. In fact, given the training costs and lost productivity, the dismissal of an employee or the resignation of an employee is very costly to us. If you can imagine, we would not be happy replacing you since it is bad for our company financially. So much so that, in the future, if you wish to punish a business, simply convince them to hire you and then resign after a month, that’s your best punishment to them. I, therefore, invite you to use that reasoning above to self-evaluate with the following question: "If the company hired you because they needed you, and the company knows it would be losing time and money by terminating you, regardless of the reason, then is it possible that you are the cause of the termination?” I assure you that writing overly exaggerated disparaging reviews such as this one will not make a difference as to the direction or future of any company, and would be an exercise in showing your indignation with leaving the company. We suggest a better use of your time. We understand that sales is not an easy job! Based on that, we value great ethical sales people. In fact, we wish nothing but to have more of them! Unfortunately, while sales hold an essential and sacred function in our world economy, the job of the sales person is challenging and unsuitable to many. It is always tempting (yet understandable) for candidates to exaggerate or overestimate their capacity when they interview for a job, and we certainly understand the reasons why they are enthusiastically applying to us. After all, our company offers an excellent and friendly environment, elegant and beautiful offices, competitive pay, and many perks and benefits for those who pass the 90 day probationary period. Obviously, you did not pass the 3-month benefits eligibility period. On top of that, our office is a very happy place, employee morale is amazing, and the CEO is experienced and dedicated to moving the company forward as he continuously sacrifices his time to help and counsel employees with any questions or concerns. Our company is known for the highest standard and dedicating all our energies to caring about our clients. We continue to help our them with their needs and work tirelessly to make their lives better. As with all employees, despite all our attempts and goodwill, we cannot create a sales person out of someone who does not have the inclination or the talent for such a job. We both know that your words above are not real and driven out of your resentment and indignation for not being with our company. Based on that, we will not respond to any of your claims as these comments appear to demonstrate wasted energies that could have been spent finding a new career opportunity in a thriving market. Furthermore, we will not disparage you but only take the high road, wishing you long term success and the best in all your future endeavors.

Pros

Leadership - I believe a huge part of the success culture stems from the CEO. Of course it is also about the team. There are great and motivated employees, but there's a system with the company values that is set in place which enables us to align with the direction of our leader's vision quickly, and also improve our performance. We have daily huddles that helps the team understand where everyone is and keeps everyone alert. We have continuous training and learning - We get a ton of training and resources. It is fun and rewarding. There's encouragement in place for those who want to develop their competencies or gain more knowledge. The training is for everyone, even older employees whose been here for years. Everyone benefits from the development programs. The fun 'stuff' - You get wellness perks (gym memberships, insurance), random gifts, team activities, weekend brunches and celebrations, anniversaries, and 'just because' gifts, especially for going above and beyond. That is my favorite thing, to be appreciated and acknowledged :)

Cons

Commute is tough. I've tried different routes, so far I still hit traffic. That's LA for you. I still would take the extra drive because I love the company and the neighborhood is really nice. There's zumba and yoga across the street which was one of the gifts I got for an idea to help the team be more efficient.

Pros

I’ve worked for PLJ for 4 years. The best thing about this company is they really invest in you and your skill set. They have spent a LOT on employees to take them on fully paid educational seminars (this includes meals and entertainment) and have bought many expensive educational courses—all to help you grow personally and professionally. You are not stuck doing the same thing 5 years later like many other jobs out there. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, you probably haven’t been out there in a good company. The management has an open door policy. They genuinely value and appreciate your input. The CEO and executive team always encourages you to come to them for help on any problems you’re facing. Management is pro-active and is in there in the helms with you—not something you see in many other executives. The company culture: strong work ethics and results-driven. It's nice to be around people who believe in the value of hard work. Your paycheck is determined by your overall contribution to the company over time. Management practices the highest level of integrity. Standards and a good moral compass is a must to work here. Management does not and will never tolerate anything dishonest nor indecent for the sake of gain. Management shows their appreciation through random acts like thoughtful careful gifts and random outings (A trip to Disneyland and holiday dinners to Mastro’s steakhouse, just to name a few) -Paid holidays and vacation, retirement contribution, free Friday lunches, monetarily rewarding KPI bonus incentives

Cons

There are sometimes a lot of projects and you have to know how to prioritize.
