Pros

Strong People & Culture team that genuinely cares about employee growth, development, and long-term potential Collaborative environment where employees do not feel like just another number on a roster Leadership is approachable and invested in building a positive culture Great cross-functional collaboration and teamwork, especially with the in-office environment CEO has a strong vision for the future of energy, ethanol, and expansion into new markets, which creates excitement and momentum for the company Good opportunities to learn, grow, and take ownership of impactful work

Cons

In-office Monday–Friday schedule supports collaboration, but remote or hybrid flexibility should be considered more in today’s work environment. Some processes and systems are still evolving as the company continues to grow and scale

Generally, everyone likes their team, teammates, and leaders and get along well. This is a result of the people we hire aligned with our culture. We work hard and enjoy each other. Leader in the industry. Great to be on a winning team!

Cons

High expectations lead to a demanding work environment. Great for some. Not necessarily for all.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re glad to hear you’ve found strong relationships with your teammates and leaders. Building teams that enjoy working together and are aligned with our culture is something we care deeply about. You’re also right that we set high expectations. Our mission and the work we do in the biofuels industry require a lot from our team members, and we recognize that the pace and level of accountability can be demanding. At the same time, we aim to provide an environment where people can grow, contribute meaningfully, and be part of something that’s making a real impact. We appreciate the encouragement to continue leading with our culture. Maintaining that focus—while supporting our teams and developing great people—is something we remain committed to every day. Thank you again for being part of the journey.

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective. At POET, we are committed to maintaining a professional workplace where team members are treated with respect and where clear expectations, accountability, and confidentiality are core standards across our operations. We also want to clarify that team member compensation and personnel records are maintained within secure electronic HR systems rather than physical documents, and access to that information is strictly restricted in accordance with company policy. The situation described does not align with the processes we have in place to protect confidential information. Individual experiences can vary, and we encourage team members to raise questions or concerns through the appropriate internal channels so they can be reviewed and addressed in a timely and constructive way. Our focus remains on supporting a collaborative, purpose-driven environment where team members can contribute, grow, and succeed. — POET
