Pros

Some great coworkers who genuinely try to support each other Exposure to a fast-paced environment that builds resilience You get a truck

Cons

Extremely high turnover leading to constant understaffing Expect to work 50–60 hours a week, including Saturdays Employees are overworked, underpaid, and expected to take on multiple roles without added support Leadership responds to concerns with “come in earlier” or “stay later,” instead of offering real solutions without being paid for it. Bonus structure is demotivating—only 12 BDRs company-wide hit their bonus last year, according to HR Burnout is common due to a lack of resources, unrealistic expectations, and minimal recognition

Pros

My experience has been wonderful, as I have managed to learn a tremendous amount about the world of sales and the POOLCORP culture; there is always someone willing to help and guide you through a process or assist you in achieving your goals. I cannot single out just one person, as so many have stood by my side and guided me throughout this journey, but I do extend my gratitude to the entire team. I hope to continue being a part of this great company and, of course, to climb many more rungs up the ladder. THANK YOU POOLCORP!!!

Cons

Sometimes a little more cohesion and teamwork are needed.

Pros

The BDR role at PoolCorp offers a strong mix of relationship-driven sales, territory ownership, and direct impact on business growth within a stable and growing industry.

Cons

While the BDR role offers strong growth opportunities, it also involves managing operational complexity, margin pressure, and external factors like seasonality and supply chain constraints
