Passionate group of people facing identity crisis and funding challenges - Program Manager PSR Employee Review

Really love the entire team. Everyone's really passionate about the work they do, and I had the opportunity to present at special events and stuff.

Genuinely don't have anything bad to say,

- PSR has some of the most dedicated volunteer leaders that you will ever have the opportunity to work with - Doctors make thoughtful advocates on issues - PSR has a history that is impressive and has broader recognition than one expects (given the current size of the organization). - There are a lot of ex-PSR staff doing great things so you will have a network of people who all went through the same thing working at the National Office.

- The organization does not practice "social responsibility" when it comes to how staff are treated here. People have to fight for basic benefits and the organization begrudges staff even using benefits provided under legal minimums. Interns are unpaid. - No long-term vision for how the organization escapes its 10 year slide in membership and fundraising - Staff turnover is staggering. Only a couple people have worked at the national office for more than 2/3 years. - The Board, while nice, are unresponsive to management & fundraising challenges. The past few EDs have come from the Board. Very few new Board Members are retained meaning most of the Board are people who have been on it forever. - The organization's culture is highly secretive despite being a small nonprofit.
