Pros
The employees were dedicated, passionate, and hardworking. They consistently demonstrated integrity and commitment, even under challenging conditions.
Cons
Leadership was disorganized, disconnected from day-to-day operations, and in many cases appeared unqualified to oversee scientific work. Many management roles were held by family members or close friends of ownership, creating a lack of transparency and accountability.
Collaboration across departments was minimal, and communication breakdowns were common. Human Resources was largely unresponsive, leaving employee concerns unaddressed. Micromanagement was widespread, and leadership often showed little understanding or respect for the work being done in the lab.
Work–life balance was poor, and stress levels were consistently high. Employee input was dismissed, even when “stay interviews” were conducted in 2023, and conditions worsened by 2024. The culture was stressful, exclusionary, and sometimes hostile. Favoritism was common, and unprofessional behavior went unchecked. Diversity in leadership and decision-making roles was also lacking.
