Pros

The people in the office were generally pretty nice. I was able to become familiar with a new CMS and understand a little bit about how a magazine operates.

Cons

When I had my interview, I was told I would attend events with photographers and be able to do a lot of things that I actually did not end up doing. It seemed like they were holding a lot back in terms of my responsibilities because they didn't want to give me a reason to not accept the internship offer. I spent a lot of time doing nothing, and no one in the office seemed like they knew what they were doing. The office was really small, so there wasn't an office culture, and it was very isolated. No one really spoke to each other. It was good to put on my resume, but I really didn't gain any skills from it.

Pros

There are some nice, hardworking people.

Cons

The magazine has a decent reputation, but management and communication are a travesty. Very old school and unorganized.
