Pros

Great office space. Slow pace of work. Some promising folks that believe in (and uphold) the actual commitments and principles laid out on company page.

Cons

There is a lack of true structure. Organizational charts change constantly. Employees face approximately two furloughs per year, which disrupts consistent leadership. Leadership consists mostly of senior individuals with titles but without fully developed teams. Leadership is often passive-aggressive, with little to no meaningful guidance. Feedback is frequently interpreted as criticism. Those who genuinely lead—rather than simply boss—do so quietly and behind the scenes, likely to avoid upsetting higher-ups who maintain the status quo. Leadership seemingly afraid to check clients when they step on the agency's toes doing the expert work that they hired them to do and often "make nice" but no real (external, quantifiable, or cultural) progress. There is no clear company culture. Hybrid and remote employees are often overlooked. Diversity is neither present nor respected. Every diversity hire who brought a fresh and different perspective to the agency has been let go. Those who speak up about these issues are isolated, silenced, or suspended in some form. Would no recommend anyone who is not a white woman from the midwest (or adjacent) to apply.

Pros

I love working with the creative and development teams. Easily the smartest people I have been around in my career,

Cons

It got a little too big but has smoothed out since. I just prefer the medium-sized operations.

Pros

Opportunities to grow portfolio and rise above the ranks thanks to constant turnover and need for autonomous individuals who want to make good work. Overall mostly nice and talented people. Ability to learn and experiment with new tools and systems if your schedule allows. Pay is market rate. Great for people who like to smile through the pain.

Cons

Extreme favoritism, overloaded schedules, constant new “business directions” with no long-term thinking or follow-through. There is no creative visionary or leader and no way to know what is considered right or wrong, until you receive a rude slack message that makes you feel like you’re going to get fired for a simple mistake you didn’t even know you made. Expectation to uphold toxic positivity at all times, otherwise you are on the chopping block. I can’t wait to get out of here.
