Pros

Good product, decent starting salary.

Cons

One con at this company and that is the guy that runs it. Not a clue about the education sector, the sales cycle when dealing with Multi Academy trusts or even maintained schools for that matter. Agree completely with the previous review and the positive ones must not have a clue what it should be like in an educational technology company. The MD needs to understand that you can't hire someone and then expect them to be hitting their targets within the first 3 months. IT TAKES TIME TO BUILD A PIPELINE! He has no idea how to compliment the sales process with good marketing and this made it even more challenging for the sales team to achieve his huge, unrealistic targets. He wants to establish a business, grow it and sell it but unfortunately if you keep getting rid of good people or create an environment where the good people leave, then you wil never get to that.

Pros

Just speaking from my own experiences, I made a big effort from the start of my time at the company to learn the product. Senior Management saw the time and passion I was putting in and I was rewarded for it - 3 promotions within 18 months including a drastic rise in pay and responsibilities. I have also seen a lot of people start in the base level role, and within 2 years start earning £70,000 per year regularly so the opportunities are certainly there. This is a company that I see myself staying at, due to the trust that has been given to me and the potential for further growth. Parago is now also in the US, and so the potential for movement and expansion across both offices has increased exponentially. There has been nearly a 100% increase in the customer base there in just the 6 months since the office was founded. A general trend I have seen on those that have left the company, has been a lacking of product knowledge or the right attitude. If you start with some passion, let that continue, and learn the product then you are unlikely to fail. The majority of employees have been at the company for 5 years or more.

Cons

There could be improvement in inter-departmental communication
