No free ride in sales here - Sales Parago Software Employee Review

Pros

Opportunities for good potential earnings and promotion in external and internal sales. Great marketing activity which brings in leads every day. As you can see from the reviews, most staff enjoy working at Parago including me. Great new offices in Reading, and good working atmosphere. You get given opportunities and rewards if you work hard, and are proactive. Staff in other departments get regular pay rises above inflation, which is why two thirds of the staff have been here between three and ten years. Good Christmas and summer company celebrations.

Cons

The CEO expects everyone to give as much as he does, so it is not for everyone as he has high expectations. The typical job hoppers in sales don’t last as you can see from some reviews. There is nowhere to hide, and no free ride.

Pros

Just speaking from my own experiences, I made a big effort from the start of my time at the company to learn the product. Senior Management saw the time and passion I was putting in and I was rewarded for it - 3 promotions within 18 months including a drastic rise in pay and responsibilities. I have also seen a lot of people start in the base level role, and within 2 years start earning £70,000 per year regularly so the opportunities are certainly there. This is a company that I see myself staying at, due to the trust that has been given to me and the potential for further growth. Parago is now also in the US, and so the potential for movement and expansion across both offices has increased exponentially. There has been nearly a 100% increase in the customer base there in just the 6 months since the office was founded. A general trend I have seen on those that have left the company, has been a lacking of product knowledge or the right attitude. If you start with some passion, let that continue, and learn the product then you are unlikely to fail. The majority of employees have been at the company for 5 years or more.

Cons

There could be improvement in inter-departmental communication
