Pros
- Company's focus on human spaceflight leads to interesting and fulfilling work for most of the engineers - Flexible work schedules and WFH policy - Room for vertical growth; limited horizontal movement - Minimal expectations for overtime - Vast majority of engineers and technicians are excellent to work with, both good at their jobs and are great people - Some middle managers are great; some are just okay - Decent transparency about overall company performance - Most of the chief executives recognize their/company deficiencies and are actively trying to improve
Cons
- Poor leadership and direction at the chief executive and Board of Directors level - Several managers / executives seem out of touch with employee needs and reality, and ignore constructive feedback from employees - Work culture has significantly changed for the worse in the last ~2-3 years, many managers / executives would rather Paragon be "just another aerospace company" and care about the bottom line more than the people they employ - PTO / benefits policies frequently change - Company often fails to understand the niche / specialized nature of many roles that are difficult to fill properly, and does not prioritize backfills - Support roles (IT, Finance, HR) are understaffed and have outdated processes - Pay is at-best comparable to others in spaceflight industry (pay is lower than non-space aerospace/defense industry)
