Pros

A uniquely mission-driven, service-oriented IT organization with a focus on delivering high-quality service and value to its customers. PFIT also seeks to cultivate and retain their employees for the long term; relationship-focused, not transaction-based.

Cons

Opportunity to mature and professionalize internal operating procedures. The team comes together and gets the job done when it needs to, but our standard work can sometimes be excessively ad hoc and improvised.

Pros

Leadership isn’t removed from the day-to-day realities of the business. They stay close to the work and understand what’s actually happening. They genuinely “get it,” which helps ensure the company is moving in the right direction. It’s honestly a breath of fresh air. CEO has a clear, spot-on vision for the business, which does make it exciting to be part of that growth. He’s approachable, very even-keeled and decisive. Not a micromanage-y environment either. You’re trusted to do your job and take ownership of your work. I always felt my input and feedback was heard, respected and appreciated, too. From my experience, there’s a strong sense of teamwork and collaboration. People are friendly, honest, smart, professional, and really willing to help you out. There’s also a genuine care for clients and the work they do. Since we support healthcare/life sciences orgs (and, ultimately, patient safety) people take that responsibility very seriously. Definite feel-good work with a greater purpose.

Cons

Going through a period of growth, so some normal growing pains as processes and systems catch up with the pace of scaling, though that’s typical and expected.
