Let's start with the people managers. They are absolutely awful. We have no idea how to grow and promote our internal talent. Next, we do not offer competitive pay outside of engineering. We allow people we have recruited from outside the organization to bring 'talent' with them, who are some of the most disorganized and negative people I have ever worked with.
You'll see a previous post about this place being a poison apple, and unfortunately, a lot of those scenarios are true. We still have people on the leadership team who have used unfortunate language or publicly blamed other employees for mistakes, and have seen no sense of ownership or regret for their poor decisions. I could go on.
