Horrible Place - Brand Management Team Pattern Employee Review

Pros

The team was great at least

Cons

Management has little to no idea what they're doing. Turnover is extremely high, with a mass exodus occurring every 2 quarters when employees realise there is no path to success or promotion. Offer zero training but expect you to know everything. The targets are ridiculous. The sales team goes out and promises the new clients a ROAS of £10 and split SOAs, so when those aren't met, the client management team gets put through the ringer while leadership does little to mitigate. Expect to be treated like sales people, even though the role isn't sales. If you don't hit the £2M target for a midsize company with 40% BuyBox control, who won't sign off on covering 100% of SOAs (because Pattern doesn't actually cover anything), your flimsy £100 bonus per quarter is out the door. Leadership will also call you on your sick days, on your vacation days, and hand you last minute "high priority" tasks at 5:45PM when working hours are from 9AM-6PM, but just expect you to stay on and get those tasks done. Say bye to your life. Zero bonus. Zero recommendations for this company, either as an employee or as a client. AVOID.

Pros

Incredible experience. I thought I'd be here for life but other opportunities arose. Management does care about your progress and they care about their employees. In my 10 year career they are by far the best employer I've worked for

Cons

1) Moving goal posts. Businesses change and I got put into a position I didn't sign up for. 2) There are only so many roles, if you can't get them, a natural consequence is turnover to competitors/other opportunities.

Pros

flexible/unlimited PTO, hybrid, good peers

Cons

middle and upper management, poor top company culture, frustrating raise structure/no annual raises, constant restructures, focus on AI over good work
