Pros

- Free snacks - Many opportunities to engage with office politics (if that's what you want) - Targets above-average pay - Lots of people challenges - Emphasis on people (although sometimes pretentious) - Top management (C suite) have their hearts in the right place - Very corporate - Good looking culture/values on paper - Good commercial team keeping the show going

Cons

- Staying in your comfort zone is encouraged - Very corporate - Incompetent management - Lack of technical talent, and/or recognition of good technical talent - No room to grow / corners are heavily guarded - Bad organizational structure hence terrible communication - Terrible culture at practice - Terrible engineering practices that are led by copy cats - Terrible technical architectural direction

Thank you for your feedback. While we are sorry that this was your experience at PayByPhone, we appreciate the radical candor here to share suggestions of what you think can be improved for the organization. Over the past six months, we have focused on building tools and resources to provide development opportunities for our team members, including our leadership. This includes a new global leadership development program, new skills training courses and workshops, and a development program for our Software Development leaders, specifically. PayByPhone has a rich history and we look forward to growing and striving. If you’re open to a conversation, we’d love to hear more about your experience. You can reach our team at people@paybyphone.com.

Pros

great people to work with.

Cons

My manager needs to get some courses in business writing. He does not have the management skills to be running our department and needs to stop wearing unicorn t-shirt.
