Pros
It is a company that has a very hierarchical and conservative work culture that may not suit everyone. HRs portray a very global work environment which is true for product teams but not so much for other teams. Only pro is remote work…
Cons
No communication in teams. Manager decides everything. No 1 on 1 meetings. Inexperienced folks are made to do code review and architect related work who act bossy and manager turns a blind eye. Tech stack in a few systems other than product is ancient and the mindset is also of legacy systems so improvement is hard to predict. Leadership changes suddenly and no communication is sent to employees. There is no vision in the teams. No personal talk opportunities and no new learning opportunities. And hence no career progression opportunities. Every other department than product is conservative and a good level of local language skill is needed. (N2 or higher) Another con is that work is not well defined and timelines are too flexible making it hard to manage your life because your back is always to the wall.. On top of all this a reasonable amount of managers are very vocal when giving feedback and they can be aggressive using strong language. I spent first 6 months in fear because of this and now am used to this and feel numb even in enjoying daily life activities. They have nurse or counselor but they would hand pick those employees who share their problems like I did and share us videos and information on how to control our feelings and change our way of thinking rather than fixing the problem of toxic managers. I am hanging in there by a thread and there is not much help out there in the company.
