Pros

You'll be working upwards of 12-hr days, (10-hr minimum, guaranteed. Wish I was joking) Work-life balance? Quatsch! They'll try and justify this because "it's a startup". Ha! They've been trying to use that excuse for 4 years. *Disclaimer: You'll notice the only good reviews on here were all written within a week of each other. Coincidence? I think not. You can figure out what's really going on here, the writing's on the wall.

Cons

The even bigger tragedy is that you can't even put this company on your resume for a few reasons: 1)Nobody has ever heard of Paymentwall, even "competitors" 2)Those who have heard of PW, do not have even remotely nice things to say. Go to any conference, ask around the industry, you'll find out real quick. 3)Reference? No. "Management" would rather go out of their way to sabotage former employees. Do yourself a favor and message any former employees on LinkedIn, find out for you self.

It is true that we work long hours. No doubt about it. But how do you expect to put a company on your resume if you only could survive there for 3 weeks and then claim to have worked there for 6 months to make it look good on Linkedin? We do our best to keep our good people, we motivate them with anything we can and give them the freedom to achieve whatever they think will help us grow at the same time, we also do our best to get rid of the people who don't belong here because of their low quality work, or low quality work ethics. Unfortunately, it is difficult to identify these during the interview process. What allows people to stay at Paymentwall is good quality work, ambition to thrive and be part of a global success and satisfaction you get from achieving results at our scale, not everyone appreciates this and you can contact them on Linkedin too.

Pros

I was challenged to always be curious and uncover things during the development process. I picked up learnings, not just within my scope but was also exposed to other departments and their importance and functions. I have learned to embrace the unknown.

Cons

Difficulties and emotions involved when starting from scratch.

Pros

It boasts of having an all-in-one payment platform for ambitious merchants taking over the worldwide market, helping them run their businesses from day one.

Cons

The work hours were brutally long, stressful, and exhausting, as employees had to work with people from different time zones and sacrifice their work-life balance. After giving their 11-%, employees like me got terrible pay and no appreciation from their bosses. It was awful. Please stay away if you want recognition or financial rewards for extra efforts.
